Response to U.S. Senate Committee on Finance

On Jan. 28, 2008, Stanford received a letter from Senators Max Baucus and Charles Grassley, chairman and ranking member, respectively, of the United States Senate Finance Committee. The letter, which was sent to 136 universities, included 11 questions relating to financial aid and endowment management. On Feb. 22, Stanford President John Hennessy responded to the senators with a letter and documentation that comprehensively addressed these questions. A copy of Stanford’s response is available below.
